New! ACCESS Bereavement Video, "For Survivors By Survivors"

Purchase video

This 40-minute instructional video is designed for viewing by the individual dealing with sudden loss as much as it has proved to be an excellent training tool for airlines, clinicians, counselors and agency and corporate staff who respond to those who have experienced trauma resulting from sudden death.

The one-of-its-kind video is a compilation of interviews with people who have lost loved ones in air disaster-related tragedies, both aboard aircraft and on the ground, from 1960 until now, and including 9/11. These very moving firsthand accounts shed light on what helped, what hurt and what made surviving loss possible at different stages of grief. This video offers coping strategies, concrete guidance and evidence that, with adequate care, survival is possible. Contributors include a clinical social worker who lost her son aboard Pan Am Flight 103, two adults who lost parents when they were only ten-years old in the early 1960's, a mother of four who lost her husband on TWA Flight 800 and a wife who lost her spouse in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks, among others.

This video offers a perspective of time from the moment a plane goes down through the subsequent grieving process and the challenging resumption of personal and professional responsibilities. By sharing their hard-earned wisdom, these survivors provide understanding, comfort and reassurance to anyone grappling with related issues.
